Associate Vice President
Chris Ahn is an Associate Vice President in The Ezra Company’s Bethesda, MD headquarters and has been with the firm for five years. He is a strong believer in creating value through tactical planning, identifying leverage, and utilizing competitive intelligence when representing his clients’ needs. Additionally, He strictly adheres to first understanding his clients and the basis of their needs, as the cornerstone for a successful relationship.
Chris brings a high degree of business acumen to the firm, as well as significant experience in crafting custom tailored solutions with varying degrees of complexity. In addition to representing tenants in lease transactions, Chris specializes in structuring highly technical “off-market” investment sales transactions, private equity participations, distressed debt and joint ventures. He is a constant analyzer of capital markets, and debt yields as national and local real estate markets have evolved and become increasingly correlated with, and subject to, volatility within each. It is through this applied knowledge base that Chris is able to identify value. Additionally, it is his constant attention to these factors, which enables him to advise clients on strategic decisions in regard to risk management throughout volatile market conditions. Chris is a strong believer that one needs to continually strengthen market relevant skill sets to truly serve one’s clients, and understands that clients demand more than just traditional services. Thus, he truly offers a comprehensive and aggressive skill set that seeks opportunity and value throughout any market, utilizing proprietary tools and methods.

Chris has a Masters Degree from Georgetown University, which is concentrated in real estate finance. This highly relevant substantive training has allowed him to further his quantitative skill set in regard to financial modeling for negotiations on behalf of his clients. Additionally, he currently serves as a Capstone Thesis Advisor within the program, and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Panel.
In his spare time, Chris actively employs investment strategies in Forex, commodities, and futures markets, as it keeps him on the pulse of global macro/ geo-political events. The messages these markets send, can contain future indicators his clients value in their strategic planning of lowering real estate risk.
